Currently, The Good Life Psychology is just me. Who knows what the future will bring…
I am a Board-Endorsed Educational and Developmental Psychologist, accredited by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and a proud member of both the Australian Psychological Society (APS) and the Australian Association of Psychologists Inc (AAPi).
After gaining valuable work and life experience, I pursued my passion for psychology and completed a Master of Educational and Developmental Psychology at Monash University. Since then, I have worked across educational and private settings, providing individual therapy for children, adolescents, and adults, collaborating with parents, schools, and other health professionals, and facilitating workshops on child and adolescent development and emotional well-being.
My approach always focuses on empowering each person in their own lives.
I believe in empowering individuals to take charge of their lives. My passion lies in helping clients uncover their inner strength and resilience, establish healthy boundaries, improve mood and outlook, and develop a toolbox of strategies to navigate life’s challenges with confidence.
As a parent myself, I understand the importance of family involvement. During assessments, I actively collaborate with parents, openly formulating and discussing hypotheses to ensure a shared understanding of their child’s needs. My goal is to provide guidance, support, and education, helping parents feel confident in their child’s journey.
Therapeutic Approach
My approach is eclectic, integrating various evidence-based therapies tailored to each individual. I draw from:
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
Motivational Interviewing (MI)
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
Emotion Coaching
Additionally, I incorporate positive psychology, developmental psychology, neuroscientific principles, attachment theory, and trauma-informed care to provide a holistic and personalised treatment approach.
I have been trained in delivering:
Triple P
Tuning into Kids
Cool Kids
Lego-based therapy
Circle of Security
Above all, I prioritise creating a warm, compassionate, and supportive therapeutic environment, ensuring that every client feels heard, valued, and empowered on their journey toward well-being.
