Parent involvement is essential but the amount of involvement in sessions will vary according the age and developmental level of the child.

For preschool children, therapy will focus on providing strategies for parents for supporting their children and managing behaviour at home and in the community. The focus will always centre around building a strong connection between family members.

For school-aged children and adolescents, individual strategies are created collaboratively with the young person. Parents are often involved at the start or end of the session.

Parenting support involves exploring the most effective strategies to help parents support their children in ways that suit the whole family. All strategies are adapted from positive parenting practices and aim to foster a healthy relationship and secure attachment.

Telehealth Services

Send us an enquiry to see if what you are looking for can be accessed through tele-health. As a general rule, it is preferable to see children face-to-face but parenting sessions and appointments with older children work well through telehealth if accessibility to the clinic is tricky due to time or travel restraints.
